of Laliko in the press
On a prime corner in the West Village, this welcoming restaurant radiates with Georgian pride. All of the classics are accounted for, starting with a selection of vibrant salads. Khachapuri is a must. The well-known, hearty adjaruli variation packed with melted cheese as well as the lighter imeruli made with mint both delight. Skewers and stews are available but consider crowding your table with several rounds of khinkali, large, plump dumplings filled with hot broth and the likes of ground lamb or beef and pork. Servers are quick to explain how to eat them.
A recent New York Times announcement said, “Folk art touches and nods to tradition define this intimate Georgian restaurant.” They discussed the chefs and their specialties, including Jimi Kurtanidze’s khachapuri — a pastry boat filled with cheese. Chef Ruslan Giorgberidze makes only khinkali dumplings. And executive chef, Manuchar Tsikolia creates the mother khinkali filled with smaller ones like nesting dolls. Chicken in blackberry sauce, beef stew, skewered meats, and cauliflower in walnut sauce.
Helen Rosner of The New Yorker magazine noted that “Laliko, in the West Village, finds memorable ways to bring the Eastern European country’s cuisine to the world.’ in her recent article . she goes on to say ‘Its cuisine is fragrant, bold, and poetic, a feast of simmered stews and grilled meats, gently spiced, overlaid with bright and sour harmonics from fresh herbs and tart, fruity vinegars. You can practically see the line of the Silk Road in the khinkali.

Super yummy! We had the Kachapuri which was super delicious and not heavy (strangely enough given all the cheese and butter). Also had the mushroom truffle dumplings which were incredible. The sour cocktail was also very yummy. Nice staff! We'll definitely be back 🙂

I had an amazing experience at Laliko, a Georgian restaurant in NYC! The food was absolutely delicious and full of rich, authentic flavors. The “Mother Khinkali” — a giant dumpling filled with smaller ones — was both fun and tasty, and the Adjaruli Khachapuri (the cheese boat with egg yolk) was one of the best I’ve ever had. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The restaurant itself is cozy and stylish, with warm lighting and a modern Georgian touch that makes you feel comfortable right away. The staff were very friendly and took the time to explain the dishes, which made the whole experience even better. It’s a bit on the pricier side, but the quality of the food and service makes it worth every penny. Perfect spot for a date night, a family dinner, or to impress friends with something new and unique. I’ll definitely be coming back — highly recommend Laliko to anyone looking to try authentic Georgian cuisine in NYC!

ARIADNA SOPHIA ...
Overall, it was a great experience, the staff were very welcoming and attentive, and the dishes featured fresh, natural ingredients that made for both a beautiful presentation and a great tasting experience. We spent about $60 per person, which we thought was quite reasonable for the amount we tried: the beef and pork khinkali (3 pieces), the mushroom khinkali in truffle sauce (4 pieces), Adjaruli khachapuri, and the pork mtsvadi as our main dish. We paired everything with homemade pomegranate juice and ended the meal with a delicious Georgian-style Napoleon. The mushroom khinkali was such a creative twist, and everything was truly excellent. We’ll definitely be coming back to explore the rest of the menu.

Laliko is a gem for authentic Georgian cuisine! The eggplant rolls with walnut paste were a refreshing start, the khinkali dumplings stole the show with their juicy fillings, and the grilled meats—especially the kupati sausage and chicken shashlik—were outstanding. Warm atmosphere, great wine, and excellent service. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to experience true Georgian flavors.

LALIKO was an incredible place to try! A very good selection of Georgian plates that are made fresh and are very authentic. I enjoyed every bite of this dinner. Great and quick service. The restaurant has a very beautiful decor that makes your dinner even more enjoyable. Recommend sitting outside to take in the vibe of the city. Recommend getting a reservation as on Wednesday night it was almost full.

Absolutely loved LALIKO! Hands down the best Georgian food in Manhattan. Every dish was bursting with authentic flavor - from the perfectly baked khachapuri to the juicy khinkali. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. If you’re craving real Georgian comfort food, this place is a must! 💫🍷🇬🇪

Ceasar was the perfect bar tender. On top of providing great service, he also recommended me a dessert that was incredible. I had never had Georgian food before and it exceeded my expectations. The staff was amazing and the food was delicious!

Some of my favorite food I’ve had in the city! They have vegetarian options! So pleased to have stumbled across this. Also, excellent service from our waiter who was very helpful at providing recommendations and making sure we were comfortable. Good place to go with a date, friends, or family. It was a bit loud inside due to there being a lot of people so we sat outside which was much quieter and cozy (they have blankets)! 🙂
Djuna Meskhi

Love this place 🥰 adjaruli feels just perfect 👌
Kateryna Zinchuk
I’ve been to Tbilisi a few times and tried khinkali at different local restaurants, even attended a master class on how to make them. But I’ve never tasted khinkali this good. The dough practically melts in your mouth, the broth is rich—I’m drooling just writing about it. Truly the best khinkali! The service was excellent too: even the smallest detail, like a used napkin on the table, was immediately noticed and taken away. In short, the whole family left full and happy. Thank you!
hi lo
Cesar was wonderful, he explained how to eat each dish with such enthusiasm and made us feel very at home. Really enjoyed chatting with him at the bar, he has a great personality. The food was delicious and fresh, and healthy and hearty.

Very good food! Just wish the prices were more Georgian 😁
Tyler Newhouse
Really delicious and filling meal of Georgian khachapuri (rich cheese & egg bread), chashushuli (veal stew over mashed potatoes), and khinikali (meat-filled soup dumplings). To drink, we had a pear soda and a pear cocktail - pear not being a flavor you typically see on drink menus, we were intrigued by the flavor and impressed with what we were served. Their other cocktails sounded delicious and I would go back to try them. Overall I found the khachapuri to be a bigger portion but much richer than I am used to at similar Georgian spots - still delicious but not my favorite. The main courses easily made up for it, with well-balanced spices and flavors. We sat at the bar and our server/bartender was talkative and knowledgeable about the menu, hailing from Georgia himself, and more than willing to give recommendations. The space itself is pretty intimate, so would recommend a reservation for peak mealtime or expect bar seating only (which was a little cramped but a fine experience).
Gea Elika
Half Georgian I have had my fair share of Georgian food over my life, Laliko is the real deal. Book it and enjoy the classics. 👍🏼👍🏼
David Chitanava
It’s a delightful Georgian restaurant featuring a stylish interior, friendly staff, and flavorful dishes. My main dish was perfectly paired by cocktail prepared by professional bartender Temo, who is highly skilled in his craft. I also tried a very interesting desert, which featured a unique combination of vanilla ice cream and grains that was well-balanced in taste. Finally, the bar had an excellent selection of wine, liquors and cocktails.
Andy Stark
Loved everything, Georgian Salad was out of this world, Lobio was ok, but bread saved it. I wish lobio was bigger. Overall great place. Would definitely comeback to try khachapuri.
Davit Giorgadze
Exceptional restaurant! For Georgian people to experience this sort of kitchen outside of Georgia is really rare. Can’t recommend this wonderful and unique place enough. One of the best food I have ever tasted. Well done!
Grace Huang
The food is really outstanding! Every dish we had was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. I really suggest the Georgian salad and Khajapuri. Hands down, some of the most delicious food I've eaten lately! So good we even got take out after a big meal.

Very good experience at Laliko! Everything we ordered was tasty. Being originally from Tbilisi, we praised pkhali and georgian salad. The Adjaruli khachapuri with thin crusty dough was exceptional, the khinkali super juicy, excellent kupati . Napoleon dessert was a great treat - such a sweet touch. Friendly service, professional stuff. Complement to chef and his help. Thanks for a great evening and delicious food!

The food here was spectacular and the portions were great. Wonderful experience all around; this place has my complete recommendation.

Was there for a brunch the Sunday before my daughter had to go back to college. My first experience with Georgian food and it was great. The dumplings were flavorful, but the eggs and salmon was out of this world! If you are here for brunch or breakfast, you have to try the salmon and egg!

The food was excellent—fresh, flavorful, and noticeably better than other Georgian restaurants I’ve tried. Service was outstanding; the staff were knowledgeable about the menu and created a welcoming atmosphere. Even though it was busy, the noise level was comfortable. I’ll definitely be returning.

Overall a great experience. We chose this place as we had never had Georgian food and it seemed like a unique experience to do so as well as them being a recommended option in the Michelin Guide. We had made a reservation and i would recommend to do so as they were quite busy when we arrived (sat around 7:30pm). The majority of the tables were for 2 people with a few to seat larger parties. We definitely over ordered the food as it all sounded so good and we were intent on trying a variety and it was all generally excellent. Unique and full of flavor. One point of consideration; due to them being fairly busy it was quite loud from the conversation of other patrons. We had a hard time carrying a conversation as a small table of two as we struggled to hear one another. In all fairness we went during what I assume to be one of their busiest times of the week. I would definitely recommend and return though next time i might be more apt to try and go during lunch and see if it was a bit more quiet.

The food is superb! Georgian salad was absolutely delicious. Khinkali soup was amazing. And fresh Napoleon is to die for!

I have had a wonderful time in Laliko. A 5-star experience, thanks to Timur, the amazing bartender originally from Tbilisi. He introduced me to a unique, delicious amber wine—a true Georgian rosé—that was unlike anything I'd had before. His expertise and personal touch made the night unforgettable, I was happy to try his custom crafted sweet and spicy Margarita. Will definitely be back. 🍷🤍
Slava Shpigel
Loved the food and the drinks, very well prepared. Service is impeccable, vibes are mostly quiet and food centric. We sat at the bar and Timur was very helpful and professional.

Such a great experience at Laliko! Everything we ordered was delicious - the Megruli khachapuri was cheesy and perfectly baked, the khinkali were super juicy, and those eggplant rolls with walnut and pomegranate were so flavorful. We also tried the tarragon soda, which was surprisingly refreshing. They brought out a flaky, creamy Napoleon dessert as a birthday treat - such a sweet touch. Cozy vibe, friendly service, and honestly just really good food. Definitely coming back!

Delicious! Finally, a place where you can enjoy authentic Georgian cuisine with amazing design and service
Felicia Giunta
The adjaruli was fresh, and I loved how our server mixed the yolk, cheese and butter at the table. It was cool to see it all come together like that! Lamb khinkali was exceptional. We also got a lesson on how to eat in the "Georgian way." So fun! The chicken mtsvadi was the hero of the night. I've never had chicken so rich in flavor before. It was beautifully prepared and flavored. 1000/10 Only hiccup was I arrived to our reservation early, and a staff member seemed bothered by that. He was standing there but did not want to talk to me. The hostess actually called him out on that and apologized and was kind and sat me.
Oksana Bedriy
The best Georgia food! I love it!

Best khinkali in nyc! Not sure about the Megrelian khachapuri, taste is not quite the original.

Laliko is a hidden gem in NYC offering an authentic and unforgettable Georgian dining experience. The khinkali were perfectly juicy, and the cheese and mint khachapuri bread was rich, fragrant, and addictive. Grilled chicken and sausage mains were packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. Cocktails were creative and balanced, and the Saperavi red wine was bold and smooth. The warm, attentive service made the night even more special—something truly rare in the city. Thanks & will come back soon!

A beautiful spot for great Georgian food. I absolutely loved the Adjaruli and the khinkali; those were definitely my favourites of the night. The stews were also very well made and tasted great, though. While everything was delicious, I did find the dishes to be a little pricey for the portion sizes. I do see, however, that they have some better deals on the lunch menu. The server was very friendly and helpful, but I did find service to be a little slow. But definitely not a bad place to wait in, with very lovely ambiance and beautiful decor.
Stephen Stimmler
One of the best meals I’ve ever had in nyc. Absolutely tremendous experience and the service was superb. Please come and try this incredible experience!

We stopped by for dinner after a show and had an excellent experience. The staff were friendly and accommodating, the food is absolutely delicious. I loved their dumplings, khachapuri, blackberry sauce chicken, and their de-constructed napoleon cake. I highly recommend this restaurant. Will absolutely be back here.

Tucked away on the West Side, Laliko isn’t just a Georgian restaurant—it’s a full-sensory experience where culinary tradition meets theatrical presentation, all set against a backdrop of gorgeous design and hospitality so warm it practically pulls out your chair for you. The space itself is stunning. Thoughtfully designed tables, beautiful textures, and a sense of elegance that feels more curated than decorated. It’s the kind of place where you immediately want to linger—preferably with a glass of wine and something bubbling in cheese. We ordered the Adjaruli and the legendary Mother Khinkali, which, to be perfectly honest, could have had their own agents. The Adjaruli, a traditional cheese boat topped with a golden egg yolk, arrived looking like it was born to be on a cover shoot. The moment the yolk was stirred into the melted cheese, it became an edible lava flow of pure comfort—rich, creamy, and unapologetically indulgent. Then came the Mother Khinkali—a dish that managed to be both a meal and a spectacle. Imagine a giant dumpling, filled with smaller dumplings. Yes, dumpling inception. And yes, it’s as outrageous and wonderful as it sounds. It’s not a dainty dish (none of this was), but the servers guided us through it with grace and humor, offering tips, demonstrating the best way to eat it, and even preparing it for us right at the table. It was dinner and a history lesson, told with pride and care. The service was exceptional—knowledgeable, warm, and deeply invested in making sure we not only ate well, but understood the stories behind each dish. It’s rare to feel this cared for in a restaurant without the slightest bit of pretense. In short: Laliko is a celebration of Georgian culture, cuisine, and hospitality, wrapped in cheese, dumplings, and undeniable charm. It’s the kind of place you leave already plotting your return—messy fingers, full heart, and all.
Ashley Jarrell
Laliko is an amazing restaurant. I’ve been on the hunt for Georgian food since I visited Tbilisi, and Lalkio (so far) is a place that tasted like I was back in Georgia. The food is healthy, wonderful flavors, and just everything was perfect texture and taste. I will be making this an annual “treat myself” dinner location. Thank you to the staff!
Nick Felker
I got a seat at the bar when I came here one night, feeling very hungry. I got an orange cream cocktail and an adjaruli. The bread and cheese was exactly what I needed to satiate my appetite. The place has a great upscale vibe.
Luka Buskivadze
I’ve had Georgian food all over the world, and this place stands out. The chefs, waitstaff, bartenders, and the entire team are genuinely fantastic. The interior is beautifully decorated with Georgian design, creating an authentic and welcoming atmosphere. The Adjaruli Khachapuri is especially outstanding—it tastes just like the ones you’d find in Batumi or the best spots in Tbilisi. Crispy on the bottom, rich and cheesy on top—absolutely delicious. The restaurant is also located in a lovely neighborhood, making the entire experience even more enjoyable.
Boris Glimcher
Everything was great. Best adjapsandali. Hinkali soup, hachapuri, even salad. Our new favorite Georgian place.

Incredibly tasty. The service was outstanding and the staff was very friendly. If you don't know what to order, leave yourself to be guided by them. I highly recommend this place, especially if you haven't tried a Georgian restaurant before! In addition, they have very good Georgian wines!
